Handset Alarm After Firmware Update
Resolving persistent (battery) alarms after firmware update
Problem description:
A Liberty head may display a persistent alarm after a firmware update, sometimes linked to CU components or a faulty battery.
Possible causes:
- Firmware mismatch after incomplete update
- Battery degradation or failure.
Step-by-step troubleshooting:
- Restart the head and check if the alarm clears.
- Update all components (head, CUs, handsets) to the same latest firmware.
- You can check the versions in startup or on the System Check menu screen.
- Charge your battery fully.
- If you see an alarm screen "Configuration lost", then you will need to verify / setup your user configuration. If the alarm repeats, more than once, please report an Issue using the DivesoftApp.
When to contact service: If the alarm continues even with a freshly charged battery and firmware, report an Issue using DivesoftApp and include all the divelogs and syslogs.
