DivesoftCenter Compatibility and Bluetooth Issues

Fixing Bluetooth dongle connection issues with Liberty and computers

Problem description:
The Liberty head may not connect to a PC or Mac when using a Bluetooth dongle. This prevents firmware updates, log downloads, or App connections. Errors such as LIBUSBERRORSUPPORTED may appear in Divesoft Center.

Possible causes:

  • Incompatible or outdated Bluetooth dongle drivers.
  • macOS compatibility limitations with Divesoft Center.
  • Incorrect pairing procedure.
  • Missing Liberty serial numbers indicating head-side issues.

Step-by-step troubleshooting:

  • If the DivesoftCenter starts with only blank window then you are likely running unsupported Operating System, or having no Bluetooth adapter available.
    • DivesoftCenter is optimized for Windows 11 (or fully updated Windows 10) and MacOS 13+
    • If your computer is not supported, try using different notebook or computer first, before troubleshooting further.
  • Preferably use computer with builtin Bluetooth adapter. When using BT dongle, assure that it supports version 4.2 or higher.
  • Confirm all components (head, CUs, handsets) are running the same firmware version.
  • If Bluetooth pairing repeatedly fails, attempt firmware updates or log downloads via USB cable.

When to contact service: If BLE communication still fails even though using supported OS, then take a screenshot of the issue and attach an computer system information as well when reporting to the Divesoft.
