Broken Counterlung Zipper

Problem description:
The zipper on a Liberty counterlung (inhale or exhale) may break or loosen.

Possible causes:

• Wear of zipper teeth or slider.
• Mechanical stress or improper handling.

Step-by-step troubleshooting:

• Check whether the zipper is only loose or completely broken.
• Do not dive if you are unable to secure the counterlung, a loose exhale counterlung may freely went loop volume causing a high diluent consumption.
• Contact Divesoft for replacement counterlung or the backplate zipper part.
