Divesoft Liberty Cylinder Compatibility
Ensuring proper cylinder compatibility and trim with Liberty frames
Liberty SM
The Liberty SM sidemount configuration is compatible with 2 L / 200 bar steel cylinders only. Using cylinders other than Divesoft-supplied ones may result in a top-heavy unit, losing its neutral buoyancy in the water.
Liberty Light
Liberty Light is compatible with both 2l and 3l cylinders, both steel and aluminium. Bigger cylinders may need using longer tank straps.
Liberty BMCL
The classic configurations FMCL / BMCL are designed to use 3 L steel cylinders. Aluminium cylinders may not fit due to their larger circumference.
Liberty Heavy
Liberty Heavy is the most flexible configuration, supporting 4 mounting positions for all possible cylinder sizes and combinations. It is designed to support a true DIR configuration with two 7 L / 10 L / 12 L diluent cylinders connected by a flexible manifold, while also offering two additional mounting positions for dedicated oxygen, suit inflation, or a separate diluent cylinder.
