DNA shows unstable or decreasing oxygen value

If your DNA analyzer shows unstable oxygen readings or the oxygen percentage gradually decreases during Nitrox measurement, follow the steps below.

Possible causes

  • Excessive gas flow

  • Depleted or aged O₂ sensor

  • Outdated DivesoftApp


What to try

  • Reduce the gas flow as much as possible. DNA measures accurately even at very low flow.

  • Do not press the DNA tightly against the valve. Angle it slightly to allow some gas to escape around the analyzer.

  • Replace the oxygen sensor if it is older than 5 years or if the voltage in ambient air is below 6 mV.

  • Check in the App Store or Google Play whether a DivesoftApp update is available.
