DNA shows unstable or decreasing oxygen value

If your DNA analyzer shows unstable oxygen readings or the oxygen percentage gradually decreases during Nitrox measurement, follow the steps below.

If your Divesoft DNA oxygen analyzer is showing inaccurate readings, the most common causes are excessive gas flow, a depleted O₂ sensor, or an outdated version of the DivesoftApp. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

  • Excessive gas flow

  • Depleted or aged O₂ sensor

  • Outdated DivesoftApp

What to try

  1. Reduce the gas flow as much as possible. DNA measures accurately even at very low flow.

  2. Do not press the DNA tightly against the valve. Angle it slightly to allow some gas to escape around the analyzer.

  3. Replace the oxygen sensor if it is older than 5 years or if the voltage in ambient air is below 6 mV.

  4. Check the App Store or Google Play for an available Divesoft app update.
