Analyzer shows weak oxygen sensor Error 3
The “Error 3” message indicates that the oxygen sensor voltage is too low during startup. Follow the steps below to identify the cause.
Possible causes
-
Oxygen sensor end of life
-
Residual hypoxic gas in the measuring path
-
Corrupted factory calibration
What to try
-
Check the oxygen sensor date of manufacture. If the sensor is older than 24 months, consider replacing it.
-
Replace the oxygen sensor with a new or known good sensor to confirm proper function.
-
If the last measured mixture was strongly hypoxic (close to 0% O₂), flush the analyzer with ambient air. If necessary, turn the device off and back on.
-
If your analyzer hardware version is 4.0 or earlier, or firmware version is 2.29, check the Internal Values and look for the “O₂ zero adjust” value. If the value is zero, factory calibration may be required.
