How to perform full O₂ and He calibration on He/O₂ analyzer

If measurement values appear incorrect or unstable, performing both O₂ and He calibration may resolve the issue. Follow the procedure below carefully.

When to perform full calibration

  • Helium readings seem unstable
  • Helium shows more than 0.2% even when flushed with clean air.
  • Analyzer behavior suggests calibration inconsistency

Important before starting

  • The analyzer must be connected to a tank with air (approximately 21% O₂) during the O₂ calibration.

    • Perform calibration in a stable environment with steady gas flow.
  • The analyzer has to be flushed with air prior to He offset calibration.

    • The Helium calibration itselft is performed without any flow, compared to the O₂ calibration.

Calibration procedure

  1. Switch off the analyzer.

  2. Press and hold the power button.

  3. Wait until the version screen appears.

  4. Press and release the Mode button.

  5. Release the power button. The analyzer will start in Service Mode.

  6. Perform standard O₂ calibration.

  7. Navigate to Menu.

  8. Select the option “Probe calibration”.

  9. Perform the calibration procedure.

  10. When the analyzer displays “Stable”, confirm by pressing OK. This completes the He calibration.

  11. Switch off the analyzer to save the calibration values.

  12. Switch the analyzer back on.

  13. Perform O₂ calibration again.

Expected result

After completing both O₂ and He calibration, the analyzer should operate correctly and provide stable measurement values.
