How to update firmware on He/O₂ analyzer HW 4.0 and newer

Firmware updates for He/O₂ analyzers with hardware version 4.0 and newer can be performed using Divesoft Center. Follow the steps below to complete the update safely.

Before you start

  • Ensure you are using the latest version of Divesoft Center.

  • Use a stable USB connection between the analyzer and your computer.

  • Do not disconnect the device during the update process.

Firmware update procedure

  1. Connect the analyzer to your computer using a USB cable.

  2. Open Divesoft Center.

  3. Switch the analyzer to Bootloader mode (see the device manual for Bootloader activation procedure). For HW 4.0 and newer, you do not need to keep the On/Off button pressed during this process.

  4. Once in Bootloader mode, Divesoft Center will automatically recognize the analyzer.

  5. Click Connect.

  6. Click the Update button and follow the on-screen instructions.

After the update

  • Wait until the update process completes successfully.

  • Restart the analyzer.

  • Perform calibration if recommended.

When to contact service

If the analyzer is not recognized by Divesoft Center, fails to enter Bootloader mode, or the firmware update cannot be completed successfully, please contact an authorized Divesoft Service Point for further assistance.
