How to update firmware on He/O₂ analyzer HW 4.0 and newer

Firmware updates for He/O₂ analyzers with hardware version 4.0 and newer can be performed using center.divesoft.com. Follow the steps below to complete the update safely.

Before you start

  • Ensure you are using a Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browser (or similar supporting WebSerial API).
  • Use a stable USB connection between the analyzer and your computer.

  • Do not disconnect the device during the update process.

Firmware update procedure

  1. Connect the analyzer to your computer using a USB cable.

  2. Open center.divesoft.com using supported web browser.

  3. Switch the analyzer to Bootloader mode.

    1. HW 4.0 and newer: hold CAL + MENU and press ON/OFF

    2. Release all buttons once you hear a beep and see a "bootloader" text on the display
    3. If you get a beep, but the Analyzer starts measuring, then you need to hold the CAL + MENU buttons more firmly;

    4. You do not need to keep the On/Off button pressed during whole process.

  4. Once in Bootloader mode, click Connect, select only available port and proceed.

  5. Click the big green Update button and follow the on-screen instructions.

After the update

  • Wait until the update process completes successfully.

  • Restart the analyzer.

  • Perform calibration if recommended.

When to contact service

If the analyzer is not recognized by center.divesoft.com, fails to enter Bootloader mode, or the firmware update cannot be completed successfully, please contact an authorized Divesoft Service Point for further assistance.
