Liberty - Bailout MOD Exceed Alarm

Issue:
This alarm, introduced in firmware version 2.16.1 (and later), notifies the diver when the Maximum Operating Depth (MOD) of the default open-circuit (OC) gas mixture is reached. MOD is the deepest depth at which a gas mixture can be breathed safely, calculated from its oxygen fraction (FO₂) and a maximum partial pressure of oxygen (PPO₂) limit — typically 1.4 bar for working dives and 1.6 bar for emergency use. The alarm remains active even when a Bailout Rebreather (BOV/bailout cylinder) is in use, because the device continues to monitor the default OC gas regardless of the active breathing source. The alarm typically triggers when the default OC gas has a higher oxygen fraction (FO₂) than is safe for the current depth — for example, a 50 % oxygen (EAN50) mix set as the default OC gas will reach its MOD at approximately 21 m / 70 ft (at a 1.4 bar PPO₂ limit).

Instruction:
To resolve the alarm, update the default OC gas settings so the MOD of the selected mixture is deeper than your maximum planned depth. Follow these steps: 1. Navigate to **Menu → Gas Management → Open-Circuit Gases**. 2. Select the default OC gas currently assigned. 3. Change the oxygen fraction (FO₂) to a value appropriate for your maximum planned depth (e.g., use EAN32 or EAN21/air for dives beyond 21 m / 70 ft). 4. Confirm the change and verify the updated MOD displayed by the device is greater than your intended maximum depth.
