Liberty - Helium Sensor Sensitivity and Calibration Issues

Resolving helium sensor calibration problems in Liberty rebreathers

Issue:
Helium sensors may show errors, fail to calibrate properly, or become overly sensitive to noise, sometimes occurring after a firmware update. This can lead to incorrect helium value readings (e.g., 50% of the real value) or unstable values.

Instruction:

  1. Ensure the unit has the latest firmware version, as Divesoft has implemented improvements for helium sensor settings in recent updates. Firmware can be updated via the Divesoft App or Divesoft Center.
  2. Calibrate the Helium sensors.
  3. Download all divelogs (or the entire folder) from the unit and send them to Divesoft for analysis. The Divesoft App can facilitate this by connecting the head via Bluetooth and reporting the problem.
  4. Take and send photos of the "Sensors helium" screen from the Service menu. To access this: hold one button, double-press the second button, and then simultaneously release both buttons to enter the service menu. Navigate to "Service menu / CU debug / CU sensors" and use the lower button to find the "Sensors helium" page.
