Troubleshooting syslog download failures in Liberty systems
Problem description:
Syslogs are essential for diagnosing Liberty technical problems. Sometimes, syslog download fails due to connection issues or corrupted transfers.
Possible causes:
- Bluetooth/USB instability.
- Out of date device firmware.
Step-by-step troubleshooting:
- Prefer using DivesoftApp "Report Issue" feature to download all diagnostic information.
- In case of issues, you can try downloading syslogs using an USB cable.
- Update the device to the latest firmware before retrying syslog download.
- Restart both device and computer, then repeat the download.
- Always capture both syslogs and divelogs for complete diagnostics.
When to contact service: If syslog downloads remain impossible, note the error message, firmware version, and steps already attempted, then send this information along with a service form.
