Firmware Update - FLIP Timeout Error
Resolving FLIP timeout errors during He/O2 or SOLO Analyzer update
Possible causes:
- Not holding the ON/OFF button during whole update
- Driver issues on computer
- USB cable or HUB issues
- Incorrect update procedure
- MCU type selection not matching the HW revision
Step-by-step troubleshooting:
- During the whole firmware update using the FLIP, it is essential to hold the ON/OFF button on the Analyzer
- Double-check the MCU selection in FLIP
- Select AT89C51ED2 for HW rev. 1.0 to 2.3
- Select AT89C51RE2 for HW rev. 2.4 and up
- Install/reinstall Flip drivers
- Try shorter USB cable (under 1.5 meter)
- Restart computer and analyzer
- Follow the official firmware update guide for He/O2 or SOLO.
